Speeds of up to 30Mbps/1Mbps are available in selected areas of Sydney and Melbourne on Cable Extreme Plans when downloading from capable sites or across multiple sites. Other areas have speeds up to 17Mbps/256kbps. BigPond Cable Broadband not available all areas. Speeds based on Telstra tests using an Ethernet connection from a site located within a member�s state and Telstra's network. The actual speed for a member may be slower and varies due to many factors including plan selected, member location, method of data transmission (protocol), internet traffic, capacity and popularity of websites, modem and computer hardware used and software configuration. Not compatible with wi-fi [and BYO] modems.
